TPRS Glass processes architectural and industrial safety glass at two plants, in Puducherry and Dharwad, with sales offices in Chennai and Bangalore. Glass is cut, worked and toughened to project drawings rather than sold from stock sizes, which is the difference between a processor and a merchant.
Capability
How TPRS works
Manufacturing runs from Manapet Road in Puducherry and Belur Industrial Area in Dharwad, Karnataka, with sales offices at Velachery in Chennai and OMBR Layout in Bangalore. Serving south India from two sites shortens transport for large panels, which matters because breakage risk rises with distance.
Every panel is cut, edge-worked, drilled and notched before toughening, because none of it is possible afterwards. Working from submitted drawings rather than stock sizes is what allows hardware cut-outs, notches and non-rectangular shapes.
Toughened, laminated, insulated, curved, printed and switchable glass are all produced in-house, so a package with mixed make-ups does not have to be split across suppliers with different tolerances and different colour batches.
Automotive, marine, locomotive, earth-moving and appliance glazing run alongside the architectural work. The industrial side imposes tolerance discipline that the architectural side benefits from.
Getting a quotation
What to send with an enquiry
Finished cut sizes for every panel, the thickness, and whether the pane is toughened, laminated, insulated or a combination. Where thickness is not yet fixed, send the span and the support condition and it can be calculated.
Edge finish, hole positions, notches and any hardware the glass has to receive. These all happen before the furnace, so they belong in the enquiry rather than being added later.
Any body tint, solar-control or low-emissivity coating, ceramic print or back-painted colour. Coatings affect both lead time and the batch the glass has to come from.
Required delivery dates and site access. Large panels needing lifting equipment are handled and crated differently from panels that can be carried in.
The TPRS product
TPRS Tuffsafe
TPRS Tuffsafe is a range of thermally treated glass created to provide enhanced strength and safety for a broad spectrum of use cases. It is classified into two types: heat-strengthened glass, which is far more resistant to impact stress and temperature fluctuations, and toughened glass, which is meant to be exceptionally durable and, if crushed, fragments shatter into small, harmless shards, thus maximizing safety. With TPRS Tuffsafe, you get reliable, high-performance glass that combines durability and safety.

Yes. Both plants despatch nationally, with the strongest coverage across south India from the Puducherry and Dharwad sites. Crating and transport are arranged with the order, because the method depends on panel size and site access.
Maximum panel size depends on the thickness and the processing line. Send the largest panel dimension with the thickness and make-up and TPRS will confirm whether it can be produced in one piece or needs to be split.
Yes. Send elevations, the glass make-up schedule and programme dates and you will get a written specification and quotation. Working from drawings at tender stage avoids the thickness and tolerance surprises that otherwise surface at installation.
No. All cutting, drilling, notching and edge work must be completed before the glass enters the furnace, because attempting any of it afterwards will shatter the pane. This is why accurate site dimensions matter and why a survey is worth doing before an order is confirmed.
